UR (๐๐๐ ) sets magenta Sumerian cuneiform numerals around a winged figure in pale blue and magenta. The dark ground gives the figure a clear stage, while the sharply drawn number forms keep the composition lively.
The design grew from a wish to remember Iraqโs threatened museum heritage. Its source story centers on a figure described in our design notes as a harpy from Baghdadโs National Museum, and a call for the return of displaced cultural objects. That concern for what is lost, remembered, and returned remains at the heart of UR.
